BLOOD DRIVE
Every person who attempts to give blood will receive a $10 Kroger gift card donated by Kroger. The Fair is also providing Free Fair Admission to all who attempt to donate.
Who can Donate?

​Any healthy person 17 or older (or 16 with parental consent)

Weighs at least 110 pounds may be eligible to donate, although females age 18 and under must weigh 120 pounds or more.

Blood donors should bring photo ID and eat a meal before donating.
​
Get plenty of rest, drink extra fluids, eat a good meal (including iron-rich foods), and avoid alcohol.
Avoid smoking right before you donate.

Versiti hosts more than 3,700 blood drives a year to help meet the needs of local hospitals across Michigan including Corewell Health and Henry Ford Health System. ​Founded in 1955, Versiti is a fast growing, independent, non-profit blood bank headquartered in Grand Rapids. It provides blood products and services for more than 85 hospitals throughout Michigan and is an established leader in quality and service. Versiti collects more than 135,000 units of blood each year at ten permanent donation sites and more than 3,700 mobile blood drives. Versiti has a nationally recognized stem cell (marrow) program and created Michigan’s first public cord blood bank. In addition, Versiti provides therapeutic apheresis, cellular therapies for the treatment of cancer and transfusion medicine consultations.
